This policy explains how Experience Works Limited ("Experience Works", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you visit experienceworks.co.nz, get in touch, book a call, sign up to our newsletter, or buy something from our shop.
We handle your personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles. We only collect what we need, use it for the reasons we tell you, and don't sell it.
The information we collect
Information you give us directly. When you complete a contact or enquiry form, book an introductory call, sign up to our newsletter, or place an order, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, the contents of your message, and — for purchases — your delivery address and order details.
Payment information. If you buy from our shop, your payment is processed securely by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details.
Information we collect automatically. Like most websites, we (and our website platform) may automatically collect limited technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you view and how you arrived. Where we use analytics or similar tools, this may involve cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where shown, through our cookie banner.
How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
respond to your enquiries and schedule calls or meetings;
provide our services, fulfil and deliver your orders, and handle returns or support;
send you our newsletter and updates, where you have signed up (you can unsubscribe at any time);
operate, maintain and improve our website; and meet our legal and tax obligations.
We will not use your information for a purpose unrelated to the above without letting you know first.
Direct marketing
From time to time we may send you marketing messages about our services, products and updates by email or text message, where you have given us your details or signed up to hear from us. If you decide you no longer wish to receive marketing material from us, you can unsubscribe at any time — by selecting the unsubscribe option in any email, by replying "STOP" to any text message, or by emailing us at hello@experienceworks.co.nz. We will action your request promptly.
Who we share your information with
We share personal information only where necessary to run our business, and only with providers who help us operate. These may include:
Squarespace — our website hosting, forms and online store platform;
Calendly — for scheduling introductory calls;
Stripe — to process payments securely; and
Squarespace Email Campaigns — to manage newsletter subscriptions and send updates.
We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Storage, security and overseas transfer
We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe and to prevent unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
Some of the providers above store information on servers outside New Zealand (for example, in the United States or elsewhere). This means your information may be held overseas, where it will be subject to the laws of that country. We only use reputable providers that are expected to protect your information to a standard comparable to New Zealand's.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires (for example, tax records). When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask us:
for a copy of the personal information we hold about you; and
to correct that information if it is wrong.

Children
Our website and services are intended for a business audience and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to change this policy from time to time as we see appropriate. If we amend it, we will post the revised version on our website and use reasonable endeavours to draw your attention to the changes. The most recent version will always apply, and will show its effective date at the top of this page.
